How can we get a table?

We take bookings by phone. The best times to call are between 10am and 5.30pm. We do not take bookings by social media. Walk in customers are welcome and we keep a few tables for customers without bookings. Due to the nature of our service we do not take bookings by email. If you turn up without a booking and we are full we will take your name and number and call you when we have a space. There are some great bars nearby to kill a little time while you wait.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes we do! We have lots of vegan and vegetarian regulars. There are however several restaurants in Brighton that have a wider variety of vegan dishes.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes we do! but please make sure they are on their best behaviour.

Why is your website so bad? There is no menu online!

Bincho Yakitori is inspired by the backstreet izakayas of Tokyo and other large cities in Japan. These places have no social media, no websites, no fancy PR companies. They rely purely on reputation and hark back to the pre-instagram days when you turned up at a restaurant genuinely excited, not knowing what you were going to eat or what the food will look like.

Do you cater for Gluten free diets?

Yes we do. We make a special yakitori sauce using gluten free soy sauce that we can use if you are celiac. Please make sure you talk to the staff before you order.

Do you cater for large groups?

The largest table we can accommodate is 10. the restaurant can be hired exclusively for groups up to 55.
